Finally: Behind the Lens at the Fury v AJ Press Conference

Finally. After years of build-up, Fury and AJ shared a stage, and Over Exposed was there to capture every second of it.

Yesterday’s press conference at the British Airways Arc was one of the biggest nights on the boxing calendar before a punch has even been thrown. Two of the sport’s biggest names, a packed room and a global audience watching live. There was no room for a second take.

Here’s a look behind the lens at how we built and delivered it.

Seven cameras, every angle

We ran seven cameras on the day. The plan was simple: never miss a reaction, and give the director options at every moment.

The jib gave us the big, sweeping shots that make an event feel like an event. It took viewers over the crowd and down to the stage. Our RF camera gave us freedom to move. It caught the walk-ons, the face-offs and the moments that happen away from the top table, all without a cable in sight.

Alongside them, the rest of the cameras locked down the essentials: tight singles on both fighters, wides of the stage and the room, and cutaways that let the audience feel the atmosphere.

Our Derig system at the core

Our Derig system sat at the heart of the build. It brought every camera, feed and output together in one place, so the team could focus on the show rather than the kit.

On a night with this much going on, that matters. It meant fast setup at the venue, a reliable signal path all the way through, and full control from the moment the doors opened to the last word from the stage.

Multiple streams and SRT, all at once

A press conference this size has many audiences. Broadcasters, promoters, social channels and media partners all needed the feed, and they all needed it live.

We ran multiple streams alongside SRT feeds at the same time. SRT lets us send broadcast-quality video over the internet with low delay and strong protection against dropped packets. That meant every partner got a clean, stable picture, wherever they were watching from.

EVS for instant replay

In a room like this, the best moments come without warning. A stare-down, a jibe across the table, a reaction from the crowd.

With EVS on replay, none of it slipped through. Our operator could clip, cue and play back key moments within seconds. That fed the live show and gave partners highlights ready to share almost as soon as they happened.

The team behind it

Kit is only half the story. Nights like this come down to the people running it: camera operators, engineers, replay, vision and everyone in between. Thank you to the whole crew for an outstanding job, and to the promoters and the British Airways Arc team for having us.

The press conference is done. Now bring on fight night.
