Yesterday, our team was on site providing full outside broadcast facilities for the Bride film premiere — an event that combined red carpet energy, live broadcast requirements, and constant movement from talent and media alike.
Film premieres demand more than just coverage. They require flexibility, fast response times, and absolute technical reliability. For this production, everything was powered by our OB2 outside broadcast truck, acting as the central hub for all vision, engineering, and camera workflows.
OB2: The Broadcast Backbone
Our OB2 truck handled all camera channels and live workflows on site, giving production complete control in a fully integrated mobile environment.
OB2 allowed us to:
- Maintain consistent picture quality across all cameras
- React instantly to changing red carpet positions
- Manage live outputs smoothly and efficiently
- Provide a controlled, professional broadcast environment in a fast-paced setting
Having full engineering capability on site ensured stability throughout the event — even as the pace intensified.
Camera & Lens Configuration
Red carpets are dynamic by nature. Talent moves quickly, press lines shift, and key moments happen without warning. Our camera plan was built around range, mobility, and precision.
We deployed multiple broadcast camera channels paired with:
- Canon CJ20 lenses — delivering exceptional reach and versatility for tracking arrivals and pulling tight hero shots from distance
- Canon CJ12 lenses — ideal for mid-range coverage and reactive framing in tighter positions
- An RF camera system — giving us complete freedom of movement along the carpet without the restriction of cables
The RF setup proved invaluable, allowing operators to move seamlessly through the environment and capture natural, immersive angles that elevate premiere coverage beyond static setups.
