In a major step forward for women’s sports, the Women’s Professional Leagues (WPLL) has become the first competition in the world to implement YouTube’s groundbreaking Multiview Technology. This innovative feature allows viewers to watch all four live matches simultaneously, with the ability to switch to individual feeds to catch key moments from each game.
The OX Team played a pivotal role in bringing this new experience to life. Through remote production setups at each game location and four simultaneous galleries covering each match, Over Exposed delivered the broadcast via SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) to YouTube’s platform.
Russell from Over Exposed expressed excitement about the milestone: “It’s thrilling to be part of such a pioneering moment in women’s sports broadcasting. To be the first women’s sports competition in the world to use this Multiview Technology is a testament to the growing visibility and significance of women’s football. Moments like these remind us how much of a difference we’re making in how these games are watched and enjoyed.”
